About
River Water Levels shows current river conditions for individual USGS stream gauges: flow, gage height, how today's flow compares with the gauge's own record for the date, forecasts and alerts from the National Weather Service, and nearby public land. Each gauge has three pages: Dashboard, Water and Forecast.
Where the numbers come from
Gauge readings and daily statistics come from the U.S. Geological Survey. Forecasts, alerts, weather observations and rain estimates come from the National Weather Service and NOAA. The data sources page lists each source and the terms we checked.
How current it is
Every block shows the time of its data in the gauge's local time. USGS gauges typically report about every 15 minutes. A block older than its limit is marked, and readings older than 24 hours are not shown as current.
